Rogers Canyon Hike
My friend Ryan and I disobeyed my wife (who was something like 10 months pregnant) and went hiking in a remote part of the superstitions in a place called Rogers Canyon that does not have cell phone coverage. It was a nice 9 mile hike round trip to an old native American cliff dwelling which was amazingly preserved for being 400 years old. Fortunately I did not miss the birth of my first born son so I will live to hike again.

Caitlyns 3rd Birthday
This year we celebrated Caitlyns third birthday at home with a few friends and lots of family. We had used her birthday as an excuse to buy a swing set for the backyard which she has been on pretty much everyday since she got it. She also got a bike. The bike has removable pedals so she can scoot on it to learn balance before riding. This sounded like a good idea, unfortunately she has enough sense to know it should have pedals on it and keeps asking for the pedals.

Peralta Trail
Last weekend my friend Ryan and I decided to take a hike up the Peralta Trail which overlooks Weavers Needle in the Superstition Mountains. We both took a lot of pictures. Ryan took a lot of good pictures of the Needle and I took a lot of pictures of Ryan taking good pictures of the Needle:)

Pony Riding
Today we went over to Mollys cousin Cheryls house to let Caitlyn ride her pony. Lately we have been going over there just about once a week to let Caitlyn ride and she loves it. I think the horses love it even more because when Caitlyn is not riding she is throwing hay at them faster than they can eat it.

Sedona Marathon
Last weekend my mom, Karen, Caitlyn and I headed up to Sedona so that Karen could run another marathon. I have now lost track of how many marathons she has run in which means that she is completely crazy. The next day we went up to Gerome which was a cool town. Caitlyn loved running up and down streets and taking stairs to random locations in the town. It snowed part of the time which Caitlyn really liked.

New Years at the Ranch
This New Years we got the opportunity to go up to some friends of ours ranch and stay for the weekend. It was a pretty laid back weekend which mainly involved exploring the area and shooting stuff. Unfortunately there was no snow at the ranch but we passed through some on the way up.
New York Trip
Last week I sorta lucked out and got a New York trip New Years Eve Eve. It was a grueling trip with a red eye flight into New York and then a early morning departure back home. But it was kind of neat to walk around and see everything all decorated for Christmas and New Years.
