Winter Horseback Riding
This winter Caitlyn has had many opportunities to go over to Mollys cousin, Cheryls house to ride her horses. She is beginning to learn how to control the horse using the reigns and has been leading the horse around so that the horse becomes familiar with her. Carter is still too young to ride but likes to help feed and pet them.

Cave Creek Balloon Festival
In early January we made a trip up to Cave Creek to see a balloon glow with some friends from church. It had been a while since we had been to one. The kids had fun running around on the golf course but didn't have any desire to actually sit in the basket of any of the balloons. At the end of the festival some skydivers with glowing vests and flared dropped out of the night sky which was pretty neat.
Christmas 2010
This year we spent Christmas at home with family. The kids got lots of Zhu Zhu pet junk which pretty much took over the house.
Zachs First Birthday
Our nephew Zach celebrated his first birthday in December. We also used the opportunity to celebrate Christmas with James and Kim before they went to California for the holiday.
Christmas Activities
This year way stayed plenty busy taking advantage of all the Christmas events around town. We went to Zoo Lights, Electric Light Boat Parade, the Garden Train Open House, and visited Santa at the mall. Caitlyn loved Santa... Carter is going to need more time.

Caitlyn's Preschool Christmas Concert
This year Caitlyn started preschool which she seems to enjoy (at least after she gets there). The preschool put on a Christmas concert earlier this month in which they sang a few Christmas songs for all the parents. We were very surprised at how many kids go to the school being that the school itself is pretty small and only has a couple of class rooms. The concert was at the local performing arts center. The teacher forgot their headbands so their class was easy to spot.

Halloween 2010
This year for Halloween Caitlyn was a butterfly while Carter was DJ Lance (a character from his favorite TV show Yo Gabba Gabba). We were joined for trick-or-treating by my mom, Molly's parents, brother, sister in law, and our nephew who was a monkey. The kids loaded up on tons of candy most of which is gone now.
