They can be used in numerous ways to assist your young puppy in learning where the proper place to go to the bathroom is. I personally used a few of the above mentioned methods for my own pets which worked for me and may not be correct for everyone else to use for house training their pets. I am actually trying to work on a website (with other canine professionals) that will later be a guide to both dog owners and up and coming trainers to make those resources available. Be sure to have the puppy sit when another dog is approaching.
It's all about putting your dog in a position to do the right thing and then observing them in the act of doing the RIGHT thing and praising them wildly.
